Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 22 January 2018: Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate, the real estate development and operations arm of the UAE based conglomerate Al-Futtaim, has announced its debut of the Organic Souk at Dubai Festival City– the destination’s brand new farmer’s market.

The weekly event will take place at Marsa Plaza Creek, conveniently located within Dubai Festival City, and will run every Saturday morning from 27 January until April 2018, between 8am to 2pm.

Visitors are not only given the chance to buy delicious farm-fresh goods directly from the people who are growing them but to also spend a fun-filled day at a creek-side location.

Dubai Festival City will be presenting, for the first time, a platform for local farmer’s to share their freshest produce with UAE residents and tourists. The event aims to encourage the community spirit for which the destination is known. Visitors are invited to take in the remarkable views of Marsa Plaza Creek – offering a vibrant family-friendly and entertaining weekend experience.

The event will support farmers from all over the UAE who will present the freshest organic produce, daily picked and ready for purchase, all in one location and with no middlemen involved. Visitors will therefore have the chance to buy an array of farm-fresh goods directly from those that have been growing them, whilst enjoying a jam-packed day filled with additional entertainment and activities for all ages to enjoy. Alongside food trucks, for the little ones, there will be an edutainment area featuring a mini petting zoo with a variety of farm animals including ducks, chickens and rabbits
