Residents of all ages were invited to explore their creative side, picking up new painting techniques before putting their own ideas onto canvas. What began with blank canvases soon turned into a collection of individual artworks, each reflecting the imagination and personality of its creator.
The workshop gave children and adults alike the chance to try something different, learn from the experience and enjoy the simple pleasure of creating something of their own. Families painted alongside one another, young artists proudly showed off their progress, and residents exchanged encouragement as their pieces gradually came to life.
Adding a little friendly competition to the afternoon, participants also had the opportunity to put their newly developed skills to the test, with exciting prizes to be won. Selected artworks were also considered for a special community display across Dubai Festival City, giving residents the possibility of seeing their creativity become part of the place they call home.
Beyond the finished paintings, the afternoon was ultimately about making time to create, connect and share an experience together. It offered residents a different way to engage with their community, one built around imagination, self-expression and quality time with family and neighbours.
The workshop was another opportunity to create experiences that bring Dubai Festival City residents together in meaningful and memorable ways.

An Afternoon of Friendly Competition at Al Areesh Club
A little competition brought plenty of fun to Al Areesh Club as Dubai Festival City residents gathered for an afternoon of board games, challenges and family entertainment.
The event transformed the afternoon into a lively mix of play and friendly competition, with residents enjoying classic board games and larger-than-life versions of familiar favourites. Face painting added to the fun for younger residents, while exciting prizes gave everyone another reason to bring their best game.
A particular hit among our residents was the Brick Building Competition, where our young participants put their imaginations to work and impressed us with their out-of-the-box thinking. From creative concepts to unexpected designs, each creation brought something different to the table and gave our young builders the chance to proudly showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills.
Across the different activities, families and friends could choose how they wanted to take part, whether going head-to-head over a favourite game, tackling a challenge together or simply enjoying the atmosphere and cheering each other on. The variety of activities made it easy for different generations to join in and share the experience.
Beyond the competition, some of the best moments came from seeing neighbours gather around the same tables, children discovering new games and families enjoying uninterrupted time together. The afternoon showed how something as simple as play can create natural opportunities for conversation, laughter and new connections within the community.
The activation was another way of bringing the spirit of togetherness to life within Dubai Festival City’s residential communities, creating experiences where residents can meet, participate and enjoy where they live in new ways.
