There’s a whole new world to discover – and the Diesel Kids are kitted out for the great expedition with the Fall / Winter 2008 collection.

The Diesel Kids are off on their travels again – and they may be gone for some time. The boys consult maps ands plot new paths through rugged terrain; while the girls seek hidden treasure in an enchanted land of ice. But as their stories collide, we find that they are both exploring the same mysterious world.

Inspirations behind the collection, designed by Diesel’s creative team, headed by its creative director Wilbert Das, include vintage Arctic expeditions from the turn of the last century and the thrilling early days of space travel. And as with all the best adventures, the goal is hidden treasure! The complete collection maps out a dream universe for children.

Giordano

Taking on a new attitude, Giordano launches its latest collection, City Energy, inspired by performance clothing and made with functional fabrics.

The season’s casual wear combines lightweight and UV protected fabrics with bold colours and ergonomic shapes to create trendy casual wear.

Giordano’s City Energy collection draws inspiration from luxury sports and translates the same essence into casual wear.

The focus is on technology driven fabrics that protect, keep dry, do not stain, or wrinkle ensuring the customer comfort even in the heat. The use of bold colours such as eclipse blue, ruby red, royal blue and banana yellow bring the collection to life.

Guess

This September, the collection theme of Valley of the Dolls opens this festival of the cinema with a strong 60’s vibe reflecting the youth and culture of the era. Neat “ladylike” coats and jackets with wide billowy sleeves, and novelty plaids are a new addition to Guess girl wardrobe.

A multitude of mini and maxilength flirty and flounced dresses add a touch of femininity, while ¾ sleeve jackets developed in a variety of fabrics to create a colourful bazaar of new volumes are teamed with skinny jeans to highlight their perfect cuts and new shapes.

Tumi

Women’s Collection

More than anything, Tumi is synonymous with stylish travel, whether actual or inspired. And this season, the Tumi woman is off to the ruggedly poetic beauty of Kenya. Inspired by a bygone era of glamour and adventure, the latest offerings from Tumi were created off a palette of earth tones, of neutrals browns, and burnt oranges that suggest a Serengeti sunset.

Men’s Collection

For the gentlemen, London will always remain a boy’s club. But what a sophisticated club it is: for fall, the styles that have made the Townhouse collection a hit the past year come back updated in a gray covert cloth and black vachetta leather that hints at a Saville Row lifestyle of pin-stripes, Pims, and Pamlico. For the sleek traveler on the go, the Kilburn garment bag resembles a slim art portfolio that will leave the bearer looking more like a stylish architect or artist packing sketches then a business executive with two bespoke suits.

Monsoon

Drawing on the influence of new season trends, from intricate fabrics to playful silhouettes, this season’s collections encompass all that is amorous and yet mystically enchanting about this time of year.

Fluid wool crepes, silk organza and textured ottoman fabrics are key, with the emphasis on graphic tape work and nouveau style embellishment to accentuate draped necklines and taffeta ruffled waists.

Flushes of rich berry and exotic kingfisher tones play on the Egyptian luxe of the 1920s and structured jacquards of the 1940s Parisienne Couturier. Cocktail dresses with tiered lace inserts and draped chiffon adorned with sequin floral embellishment, combine with high sheen pencil and fishtail dresses to enhance and inspire this modern eveningwear collection.

Accessorize

Enchanting and decadent statement jewellery takes on strong influences from the Art Deco period this season. Embellishment plays a vital role in modernising this look, with heavily encrusted sequin berets and luxe decorated clutches. Romance and sophistication can also be felt in the collections, with vintage-esque leaf pendant necklaces and oversized pearl cocktail rings. In contrast, midnight-infused glamour is found with feather and net hair fascinations and chunky bangles are injected with gorgeous gems.

Daytime accessories are grown up contemporary styles contrasting with a quintessentially English look. In the first instance, a relaxed appearance is achieved where powdery palettes mix with metallics and clean metal jewellery works to compliment key reptile fabrications on bags and shoes.
