Quaint, Parisian Themed ‘Bistro Madeleine’
The quintessential Parisian style ‘Bistro Madeleine’ has
launched last month at InterContinental Dubai Festival
City. The newly opened casual restaurant has a quaint yet
contemporary ambiance, serving French delicacies at the
water’s edge on the bank of the Dubai Creek.
The restaurant
takes its name from
the shell shaped
Madeleine cakes
of 19th century
France, which can
be found as the
signature pastry, and
introduces diners to
the traditional French
theme throughout
the restaurant. The
restaurant has dishes
available for three
meals a day, and
also serves imported
beverages at a stylish
French bar.
The sweet and salted breakfast menu includes pastry
favourites as well as cooked dishes such as ‘L’omelette
jambon-fromage’ and ‘Les Oeufs Bénedictine’ (ham and
cheese omelet or Eggs Benedict). A swift business lunch
is on offer with a choice of typical French dishes including
salade nicoise, foie gras de canard and saumon fume.
High tea is available in the afternoon, followed by intimate
dinners with candle light, soft French music and a romantic
setting missing only the River Seine.
Breakfast is served from 8:30am to 12pm and then the
restaurant opens from 1pm serving until 12am. For
restaurant reservations please call 04 7011 1128. |

Fizz and Sparkle with the Launch of Eclipse
InterContinental Dubai Festival City has created a fizz last
month with the opening of Eclipse champagne bar. The
chic and stylish venue on level 26 of the luxurious hotel
provides its patrons with a bird’s eye view of the city skyline
and Dubai Creek, as well as a range of uniquely designed
cocktails exclusive to Eclipse.
The design of the Eclipse mirrors pure style and frivolity.
Red and cream, leather padded walls surround tables of
marble with sleek bar stools for guests to perch upon.
In the centre of the room, a double sided bar with fully
trained barmen serves over 100 international cocktails,
or fulfill any recipe request a guest may have. Whilst the
ambiance emanated through the smooth music and warm
bronze tones may denote the style of a classical age gone
by, modernity is still prevalent by way of design touches
such as the velvet finished leaning post and blinking light
effects. The effect of indulgence is taken further by the
array of imported cigars on offer, including luxury lines
such as Montecristo and Romeo Y Julieta. These are all on
display in a large humidor, adding to the opulence of the
surroundings. |
